Reactivities | Feline Leukemia Virus |
Host | Mouse |
Isotype | IgG2b |
Clonality | Monoclonal |
Immunogen | Made to Viral FELINE LEUKAEMIA VIRUS gp70 |
Specificity | This antibody recognizes the gp85/gp70 envelope glycoprotein of leukaemia virus. The antibody specifically recognises the epitope defined by amino acids 214-218 of the gp70 sequence (aa MGPNL). Some weak cross-reactivity with the sequence MGPLL found in the FeLV p15e membrane protein may also occur. This antibody effectively neutralizes all three FeLV subgroups (A,B and C). |
Formulation | PBS, pH 7.2 containing 0.05% Sodium Azide as preservative State: Purified State: Liquid purified IgG fraction from Tissue Culture Supernatant |
Concentration | lot specific |
Purification | Affinity Chromatography on Protein A |

Background | FeLV is a retrovirus (family Oncovirinae) that can cause severe immunosuppression, severe non regenerative anemia, and a variety of neoplasms. The 3 main subtypes (FeLVA, FeLVB and FeLVC) may act independently or together to cause a variety of diseases. The major envelope glycoprotein (gp70) is used to bind to target cells and varies with the FeLV subtype. |
Synonyms | Feline leukemia virus env, gp70, p15E |
