Summary | Human Annexin A2 is a calcium-dependent phospholipid-binding protein typically located on the cytosolic face of the plasma membrane and is a member of the Annexin family.Proteins within the Annexin family play key roles and functions in many aspects including cytoskeletal interactions, regulation of cellular growth, intracellular signal transduction pathways, and phospholipase inhibition. Human Annexin A2 functions as an autocrine factor to enhance osteoclast formation and bone resorption; and also an organizer in the membrane. |
